What to wear to a wedding... Part 2
Footwear recommendations, sunglasses, accessories, and more!
We are back with Part 2 of What To Wear To a Wedding. Before you continue, make sure to read the first part here before diving into today’s newsletter. The first part serves as a great way to better understand how you can approach building the ideal wedding fit for you.
In today’s newsletter, we’re going to continue the topic with some more brand recommendations, we’ll be taking a look at a few sales you can take advantage of right now, accessories you should consider, footwear suggestions, and some other stuff in between as usual!
I wanted to continue our journey by checking out some footwear options. I have a few styles for the big spenders and some that are way more affordable. First one is the Libido from Hender Scheme — This is what I’m talking about when I say luxury. Hender Scheme is making some of the best quality leather footwear on the market, and while it’s definitely not cheap, it’s an investment that will pay off because you’ll have these forever. That cowhide leather is going to age like fine wine, giving it a nice aged look while becoming more comfortable with each wear.
While it is wedding appropriate, this is a shoe you can easily wear in any sort of casual setting. Throw some chinos or just rock them with shorts this summer, either way it’s going to be one of those quiet-luxury pieces that will be worth every penny.
The Libido from Hender Scheme is currently available directly on their website here.
If you need something around the $200 mark, then I suggest going straight to G.H.Bass. A classic in the loafer game, G.H.Bass has been making shoes for almost 150 years, so it’s safe to say they know what they’re doing. Plenty of styles to choose from so it’s really up to you to decide what you want. Here are a few of my favorites that are currently available on their site.
What’s cool is that they do offer some of their shoes in wider sizing — so wide feet boys we are up! I’ve heard different opinions in terms of their sizing in general. Some people go true to size, some size down .5… realistically your best bet is to probably navigate their size chart on their website for the best information.
The shoes are known to take a little bit to break in, depending on your foot of course, so make sure you keep that in mind before wearing them to the wedding to avoid any unexpected experiences.
You can shop their full range on the G.H.Bass website directly here.
