If I can keep it real for one second, I’m yearning for spring. Montreal low-key got 50 inches of snow in the last few days and I’m can honestly say I’m over it. It’s been feeling like an apocalypse lately. With that being said, I did make some recent acquisitions ahead of some trips to warmer climates that I’m excited to add to my rotation.

In today’s newsletter we’re going over some elite pieces from one of my favorite shirt brands right now, light outerwear I’m excited about, well priced menswear made by good people that’s currently on sale, sunglasses recommendations, my review on another upcoming GAT shoe alternative everyone has been asking me about, and more!

SOME OF THE BEST SHIRTS MONEY CAN BUY

I’ve been following Another Aspect for a minute now but I haven’t had a proper chance to give them the review they deserve until I ended up picking up what is now one of my favorite shirts in my closet—which I wrote about in a recent pickups newsletter a few months ago here.

My obsession with the brand occurred quickly, especially after my trip to their store to Copenhagen, where I got a chance to go through and see their collection in full. At the time I had a chance to learn about their Made-in-Japan line, that focuses on crafting garments using some of the finest quality fabrics money can buy, and the best part is it, they aren’t insanely expensive.

If you’re going to buy a shirt that’s around $200 you might as well buy one that’s going to stand above the rest. I’m talking about quality, the fit, and the overall feeling you get when you wear one of these pieces—something that Another Aspect nailed in the execution of these items.

The line is currently available here, which also offers the styles shown above in alternative colors. I’m a big fan of how these sort of give more of that pyjama/relaxed look, yet can still be dressed up with ease if needed. Construction on these are incredible, the lightweight cord voile fabric gives this subtle texture to the garment that you’ll see up close. I would suggest consulting the size chart for these, but I did size down and found that they ended up fitting perfectly. Little bonus is that Another Aspect offers their stuff from sizes ranging from XS all the way to XXL.

Highly recommend these for anyone that’s looking to level up their shirt game, especially those working at the office—I know who are and this might be just the thing you’re looking for.

SUNGLASSES FOR EVERYONE

This topic is an interesting one because recommending specific glasses is tough. We all have different shaped faces and preferences, and so on. So, what I’ve been doing is trying to find brands that have that solid quality but most importantly, good variety of styles to pick from. I’m still relatively new to the sunglasses space, with most of my personal purchases happening online, mainly vintage styles, and all of them through trial and error—it’s definitely not a cheap task to do, but that’s really the only way you can figure out what works for you. Alternatively, pull up to the store and start window shopping. Figure out what frames work for you, what color lenses you like, and so on.

Styles I grabbed from top to bottom: LUCKY STAR Gold, COCO Layered Brown, ROOM SERVICE Black
