Recent purchases I'm enjoying right now
Barbour x Noah, finding the perfect sweatpants, Post Archive Faction + On, a rain jacket I'm obsessed with right now, my fall footwear rotation, and more!
Wanted to start the week off right with some content on a Monday because why not? I recently went through my closet and realized I had acquired a bunch of new stuff that got me excited to get dressed again — consider this an exclusive because I rarely share what I wear day to day. You know, the weather is changing, and that means you get to look at styles you weren’t thinking about during the summer. To me, that’s a lot of fun.
In today’s newsletter, we’ll be checking out one of the jackets from the upcoming Noah + Barbour collaboration, how I found the perfect fitting sweatpants, a rain jacket I’m obsessed with that isn’t from Arcteryx, some new shoes for fall, and more!
NOAH + BARBOUR
Was lucky enough to grab one of the jackets from the upcoming Noah + Barbour collaboration. The full collection is actually dropping later today, Monday November 4th via the Noah website at 11 am EST! You’ve been warned. I ended up grabbing the Teddy Wool Jacket in green, which is something that’s a little bit out of my current scope of jackets I’m actively wearing, but I was down to try something new.
The jacket is honestly insanely nice in person, cool details like the embroidery on the inside are fun little additions that make it that much more special. The choice to put Noah’s branding on the inside is one that I am so hyped about! It is 100% wool and heavy, so this might be the ideal jacket for the cold days that are coming up. It fits true to size, but you may benefit from sizing up if you’re planning on wearing any thicker layers underneath.
Below is a look at what additional colors will be dropping. I expect this one to go quick so don’t wait around and get ready for the drop later today at 11 am EST — this one is for the early birds that read the newsletter <3
POST ARCHIVE FACTION + ON RUNNING
I’ve been waiting for this one the moment I saw the footwear during PFW in January! The Cloudventure Peak shoes might be all the talk, but we shouldn’t disregard the apparel that dropped with them. I can’t lie, but the apparel might be even hotter than the shoes for me. Both brands know how to make performance gear at a high level, so it’s not surprising to see them hit this collection with this much strength.
This jacket naturally became my go to light layer this fall. It looks like a pretty simple piece, but what stands out for me is that signature paneling that PAF is known for. I was pleasantly surprised at how warm this one was considering how light it is. It’s also great at temperature regulation as well, so you’re never have to worry about feeling uncomfortable when going from outdoor to indoor. A very fun piece to wear on its own or layer it underneath with another jacket.
The Zero Panelled Recycled-Shell Running Trousers might be the wildest bottoms in my possession right now, but I rate them! They are something that I would never usually pick up, but it’s fun to force yourself to get out of your comfort zone once in a while. Extremely warm, but really light at the same time, and of course the paneling on this one is just so good.
And of course we can’t forget about the main act. The Cloudventure Peak shoes! Wow. I’ve been dying to get my hands on a pair of these the moment I saw them in person. The recent pivot to tiny midsoles are everywhere, and I think the European in me is clearly show them because I’m really into them. These are definitely selling like hot cakes, and I haven’t seen anywhere online that still has sizes left. I’ll keep my eyes out though, so if you’re still looking just hit me up directly in the DMs.
ANOTHER SHIRT 1.0 BY ANOTHER ASPECT
I picked this one up on a recent trip to Copenhagen. I’ve been following Another Aspect for a while but never had the opportunity to see the stuff in person. The best way for me to describe this brand is just pure elite menswear. Amazing focus on fabrics which are used to create classic staples. I also think the fit on their shirts are some of the best I’ve experienced in a while.
I have an issue where a lot of shirts tend to run a little bit longer at the back, which is fine but at this very moment I don’t want that sort of look. With this shirt however, it sits just right at my waist level, which ends up helping create a better outfit composition.
The shirt itself is incredibly soft, the Tencel material is durable, soft and just feels so nice when you have it on. It comes in a variety of colors with sizing all the way up to XXL! I went with my true size, but you can easily size up if you want something a little bit more loose fitting.
