Paris Fashion Week Report
An exclusive look at upcoming collections, a sneak peek at new collaborations, a brand that stood above the rest, and more!
Another jam-packed fashion week is in the books. Aside from spilling an entire coffee on myself on the flight back home, it was a great week. I got to see a lot of new releases scheduled for the next year, explore new collaborations, reconnect with good people designing cool things, and of course, discover new brands that I’ve been keen to see in person.
In today’s newsletter, we’re going to go through everything that went down during the week, what upcoming collaborations I’m excited about, a brand that stood above the rest, and an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at some new collections from Umbro, Metalwood, Lady White, and more!
NEW STUFF FROM METALWOOD
The trip began with a strong start from Metalwood. Even though it’s my second time visiting their showroom in Paris, I found that they are hitting great strides across each new collection. While the clothes continue to be great, the standout this time around had to be the Adidas Gazelle — highlighting dark details paired with Realtree camo on the upper. An absolute smash if you ask me.
The brand is also hitting new levels with its clothing and accessories line, which seems to get larger with each collection. I’ve gathered flicks of some personal favorites of mine above, but there’s a bunch more fire pieces that I believe many people will enjoy when the full collection drops.
COLIN MEREDITH
I’ve been a fan of Colin’s craftsmanship for a while now, and it was fun to be able to see all of his ideas in one place. Got to see the upcoming ROA Cincigo collab, which I’m beyond excited about because this personal favorite of mine has been given a massive upgrade. It’s now lighter, paired with a more malleable upper that is much easier to wear — the old version was fine, but the upper was more rigid and required way more wear to truly break them in.
Seeing and feeling the upcoming collaboration with Colin has made me excited for the new version of the Cincigo. It’s a step in the right direction that has made a personal favorite of mine even better.
The clothes are also looking great. From a variety of outerwear, bottoms and accessories, this is a collection that will elevate anyone’s style with ease. The brand is still rather new but it’s been expanding quickly. Curious to see how this brand will continue to evolve in the near future.
Focusing on elements of physical activity, I got to also see Portal, a brand that’s been designed to bring runners a true performance collection that also looks good. It’s also rather new, but you can follow them on IG here. The use of technical fabrics is at the forefront of each piece, which also brings high performance at a reasonable price. Stay tuned for more information as this collection is scheduled to go live sometime next year.
UMBRO SS25
A top player this season, Umbro was filled with nothing but hits. For some reason, the standout for me was the headwear — the detail on the stitching is crazy, which is something that translates more when you see it in person. Overall, the collection is much larger than I expected. Ranging from a variety of outerwear and performance-themed gear, I’m hoping for a proper global release that can be acquired with easy — but chance of that might be low.
ASICS
I don’t think people are ready for the new ASICS season — a lot of fire is coming, so get those wallets ready. Unfortunately, I wasn’t allowed to snap any pics, but what I can tell you from the preview I saw, it’s really good. With that being said, I did get a chance to snap some flicks of the upcoming GEL-Nimbus 10.1 that have me nothing but excited.
