Paris Shopping Guide
A selection of my favorite retail shops you need to visit next time you're in the city.
We are back with another shopping guide! In today’s newsletter, we are taking a quick trip to Paris to check out what stores you should visit next time you’re in the city. I find that Paris provides a unique shopping experience that you should take advantage of if you’re into fashion. Look, online shopping is great but the beauty of shopping in a physical space where you can experience clothes right in that moment is just something that you cannot replicate through your digital screen — it’s an experience that we take for granted.
The city is filled with various streetwear, vintage, and high luxury stores that will keep you busy for days — and since you’re most likely on a tight schedule when you’re visiting, I wanted to consolidate my favorite places to shop at so you can save time and maximize your shopping experience at the same time.
For all of our new readers, the Shopping Guides is an ongoing series where I visit various cities and report on my personal favorite stores to shop at — currently, the list consists of New York, Toronto and now Paris!
THE ARCHIVIST
As the name may suggest, this is the place to visit if you’re trying to score some past season heat from a variety of the best brands money can by. A solid collection of older pieces from brands like Comme Des Garcons, Supreme, Stussy and a mix of some amazing brands that all come together in one space. The store is constantly updating its inventory, so visiting it several times on your trip might be the play here — just don’t do what I did and wait a day or two before copping something you saw at the store on your first visit, because when you return that items might already be gone.
On top of the clothes, there’s also a really nice shoe wall that’s filled with current and past season styles, highly curated book section, and various accessories to level up your outfit — honestly, I think their curation is just really good. The many times I’ve been here I’ve always found something unique that you don’t usually get to see in person. Sure, you might score that piece on grailed, but having the option to try it on to ensure a proper fit is just a cherry on top. The simple and clean design to the space also adds to the vibe when you’re shopping here.
They also have an online store if you can’t visit, currently it’s down for maintenance but it’s worth keeping your eyes on it — they don’t usually have their full stock here though!
