Win a free shopping spree at HAVEN
Giving three lucky readers a chance to win a total of $1,500 to spend at one of my favorite stores.
I’m beyond excited about today’s newsletter. I’m always thinking about ways to give back to those who read SNL regularly — you’re the reason why I can almost do this blog full-time, and because of that I wanted to give you a chance to go on a shopping spree for free at one of my favorite stores.
In today’s newsletter, I’ve partnered with HAVEN to give away $250, $500, and $750 to three lucky readers to spend at their online store — information on how you can enter will be at the bottom of today’s newsletter! We’ll also be checking out their in-house line that’s been making some amazing products, what kind of brands you can expect here, as well as some clothing, jewelry and bag recommendations.
By now everyone should be well aware of HAVEN, but if you don’t then let me bring you up to speed. Founded in 2006, HAVEN is a multi-brand retailer and a men’s lifestyle brand headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, with an additional store located in Toronto, Canada. Highly recommend checking out both if you’re ever in the area!
Their shop focuses on bringing a carefully curated range of premium products all under one roof — with brands like Visvim, Nonnative, Goldwin 0, Auralee, and ROA, just to name a few.
While their retail selection slaps, the recent expansion of their in-house line is definitely something you should keep your eyes on. Making a variety of products from technical outerwear to simple basics, HAVEN is looking to bring a new level of quality that you can rely on. They are also making some of the best pants on the market right now, focusing on premium-quality fabrics that are manufactured with care — have a few pairs of my own and have nothing but great things to say. They are also constantly dropping new styles and collaborations that keep pushing them forward, and I can’t wait to see how they continue to grow with time.
What I think HAVEN does well is design products that are easy to incorporate into your wardrobe. Whether it’s a technical piece or just a simple underlayer, these items are just so well constructed that you will want to own more. The move to have zero branding on their products is also a great choice, allowing you to easily wear their stuff to the office.
I’d say that HAVEN’s in-house line is well worth the money. There are a lot of different brands out there that focus on the technical aspect of the garment first, but as we know that type of piece isn’t cheap. HAVEN has been doing a great job of creating high-quality products that are comparable to brands in their genre, but it won’t cost you nearly as much as some of the other options out there — and because of that, I am more than down. Plus, I love that this is a Canadian brand so I have to support it.
In terms of sizing and fits, I’d say go true to size. Their pants are not overly baggy which is nice, but they still have lots of room for you to relax in. They have some great basics like hoodies, tees and long sleeves that shouldn’t go unnoticed — if you’re looking to re-up on some good quality basics then I recommend checking out their stuff in this department.
You can check out HAVEN’s main line in full directly on their website here.
Did you really think we weren’t going to get into some recommendations? The multi-brand retailer carries some serious brands under its belt, and today I wanted to build a few outfits, check out a few of my favorite brands they carry, and dive into some of their accessories that will elevate your everyday life.
Technicality, fabric quality and design execution are at the forefront of their curation. The buying is great, they offer a huge variety of premium products that are perfect for those who are looking to invest in their wardrobe by acquiring items that will last for years to come.
New stuff drops regularly and they constantly have collaborations that I don’t see available in other stores. The footwear selection is also very solid, with a lot of variety for anyone who enjoys more outdoor-focused styles as well as a mix of casual shoes — you can expect brands like New Balance, Hoka, Salomon, Visvim, ROA and more.
Ok, one thing that I really vibe with is their styling. Sometimes you see an item, you like it, but you don’t know what it might look like on body. Most stores do provide model shots but sometimes the styling is just not it… In HAVEN’s case, they have great styling that helps you see the item to its fullest potential — in many cases, their styling acts as a good opportunity to get some outfit inspiration of your own.
The pants section is where you should spend most of your time — at least I do anyway. I have to warn you though, it’s going to be difficult to simply just do some window shopping when you’re here.
Whether you’re hitting the outdoors or just need some flowy trousers for the office, there’s going to be something for you. Nonnative, Kaptain Sunshine, Teatora, and HAVEN are the brands that I obsess over when it comes to pants, but there are many more options worth exploring.
A bunch of you have been asking me for some jewelry and bag recommendations recently — I hear you and I’m keeping my eyes peeled for more options to share with you soon. Since we’re here already, let’s dive into some of the accessories offered at their store.
Selection isn’t massive but what they do have is quality. We’re talking bags that focus on hardware detailing while maximizing storage through various pocket styles. They also have a small selection of jewelry from a Canadian-based jeweller called, Maple that I really enjoy.
You can shop their full accessory lineup here.
If I had to narrow it down, the brands that stand out to me from their selection are Nonnative, Goldwin 0, Neighborhood, Kaptain Sunshine, Teatora, and Visvim for all of my big spenders — these are all elite brands that I have nothing but good things to say in my experience. The level of quality is something I can’t describe, it’s just one of those things you need to experience firsthand to truly understand. Yeah, I understand that these pieces are not cheap, but I’m telling you, it’s one of those things you will just end up buying once and enjoy wearing for a long time — thus saving you more money in the long run.
That more or less sums up my experience with HAVEN. It’s a great place to get yourself some technical luxury, as I like to call it. They have worldwide shipping available and it’s quick. It’s without a doubt one of the shops I keep coming back to regularly.
