A little while ago I discovered this brand called Rice Nine Ten that was creating some really amazing knits. Sadly, I learned that this brand was only selling within Japan, so I had to move on pretty quickly. That was until I linked up with the homies from & Son who let me know that they are going to be the first retailer in North America to carry the brand in their store — beyond hyped on this!

& son was founded 3 years ago in New Jersey, with the aim of finding cool stuff that other stores weren’t focusing on. Fast forward to today, and they are officially opening their new location at 138 Sullivan Street, in New York, and to celebrate they’ve decided to give away a knit from Rice Nine Ten to one lucky SNLetter reader!

Before we dive into the giveaway though, let’s check out what you can expect from & son. The shop specializes in carrying brands that focus on well-crafted clothing as well as home goods that appeal to the epicurean within us all. An elite lineup of independent designers who push the design boundaries of their craft keeps things fresh and exciting. Enjoy an array of brands that you will not get to see in other stores like Manresa, Silphium, Liv Ryan, Lane Forty Five and Rice Nine Ten, just to name a few. As the store settles into its new location, expect more up-and-coming brands to be added to the rotation… A little birdy told me that the SS24 in-store lineup is about to go crazy.

& son also has an online store if you can’t make it to the physical location but still want to experience their curated selection. If you’re ever in the city though, I highly recommend stopping by and checking out their garment variety in person — they are located right in SOHO, so there’s no excuse to not stop by. On top of the clothing, they do have great variety of housewares and even furniture that will definitely be worth checking out.

This 100% wool yarn sweater was hand-knit, and because of the domestic craftsmanship that was done overseas, these products aren’t mass-produced.
