Who Has The Best T-Shirt?
Breaking down an array of t-shirts that will elevate your everyday look
It’s been a busy week over at the SNL HQ, my first article for GQ Recommends went live(!!!), I’ve been conceptualizing some merch for the blog, and of course, brainstorming new content for the newsletter. I received a bunch of messages asking about t-shirt recommendations, which is pretty solid timing as I try to figure out the designs for my own t-shirts that I hope to share with all of you soon.
Recommending t-shirts is a bit of a challenge to me because in a world filled with tees it’s really easy to lose yourself. What cut do you like? What colors? Graphics? Lightweight or heavyweight? Reinforced collar? The list can go on forever which makes it difficult to recommend “The Perfect T-shirt”—In this case, it ultimately comes down to your very own preference. Sometimes it’s just about the graphic and not the fit, and vice versa.
This newsletter won’t focus on the classic white tee because I think the Uniqlo U Crew tee is the best choice for the value and there is nothing else that comes close. I’ve been wearing them for years and they have remained consistent, they wash well, and have a solid collar that doesn’t stretch much. What I did do is compile a list of some of my personal favorite options that are more elevated than your traditional basic tee that I believe are worth investing your money into.
