What to buy this week
The new American Beams online store, elite bottoms crafted with exceptional fabrics, new drops you don't want to miss, and more!
It’s a busy week ahead for our wallets, so I’m going to keep the chit chat to a minimum and dive straight to it. In today’s newsletter we are going over a bunch of drops this week that I think you should know about: elite bottoms crafted with exceptional fabrics from Loro Piana, clothes I’m currently feeling, and a bunch of new stuff from brands like Palace, Engineered Garments, Auralee, and more as usual.
THE SNL EFFECT
Sometimes I end up coming across a garment so good that I just know is going to do numbers before I even posting about it. That feeling is low key a curse though. I try my best to save the juicy stuff for the newsletter—ideally making it easier for everyone to cop. But sometimes a post blows up and then you wake up the next day to find out that most of the sizes of that item is now gone.
The last piece that was targeted by this effect seemed to be these Summer Glow Jerseys by Adidas. Posted about them yesterday to see them blow up by the morning. Looked at the site the following day because I wanted to include them in today’s newsletter, but I was already too late. Now, I’m not saying that my post caused this to happen, but this isn’t the first time I have experienced what I call, The SNL effect. But sometimes that’s just the way it goes. You can’t gate keep everything, and that’s alright.
Anyway, the jerseys themselves are really fun. Originally part of the Adidas womens collection, the piece comes with some oversized embroidery that feels like a good way to usher in the hot summer days. My regions adidas website says they are sold out, but maybe you can luck out and find these elsewhere with a quick search. Good luck.
PALACE + ENGINEERED GARMENTS
Two goliaths have returned for another classic banger. Dropping later this week, the duos second collaboration together consists of a bunch of great stuff which you’ll see down below, but my favorite have to be the hats and tees—although some of the outerwear and that patchwork shirt is speaking to me, so maybe I shouldn’t be so quick to find a favorite. Needless to say, the collaboration is really good. I think there’s clear reference in what both brands do well. Those NY graphic pieces are going to absolutely fly, so get ready for that.
