What To Buy This Week
Lightweight trousers, shoes for the low, shorts options that aren't jorts, high-quality pieces focusing on simplicity, and a bunch more!
What’s going on everyone! The sun is finally shining bright over here in Canada, which means that I can slowly ditch those layers and start shifting into summer mode. Sure, our current summer rotation may be great but the heart desires newness, thus forcing us to open up those wallets in order to satisfy our hunger—lucky for us, I have an array of recommendations for us today.
In today’s newsletter, we are diving into the world of summer attire, some shoe releases I’m hyped on, a pair of pants I’m excited to wear into the ground, a personal favorite that puts out high-quality pieces while focusing on simplicity, shorts options that aren’t jorts, and a bunch of other stuff as per usual!
For all of our new paid-subscribers, the SNL Store List, which is a list of over 100 online stores to shop at, just got updated with a bunch more stores. Check out the full selection by hitting the button below—
SUPERSTARS ARE BACK
Ok, so there’s a pretty interesting discourse around Superstars—some people love them, some people hate them, but I’m here to tell you that this iconic model is one of those shoes that will always be a hit for me. They are really fun to wear when they are crispy fresh and pair really well with some baggy pants, what more can you possibly need?
I’ve actually already secured a few fresh pairs of the regular Superstar myself because it’s been a while since I rocked a pair, but then I heard about the upcoming Dime x Adidas collab, and it looks like I’ll be adding one more Superstar to my rotation.
Two simple colorways paired with Dime’s wavy branding on the stripes elevates the Superstar without going overboard with it. Sometimes less is more, and I find that Dime always comes with the correct approach to shoe collabs—I need elevated simplicity where both brands show their brand identity in a way that makes that shoe wearable as an everyday option instead of a once-in-a-while type occasion.
There are also some tracksuits that are dropping alongside the shoe for those interested in doing the full head-to-toe kit in two different colorways!
It’s not a Dime collab without some hilarious announcement video—and this Adidas collab isn’t any different. Check out the video above for the full announcement, and get ready to cop when the collab officially drops on May 13th via dimemtl.com, and globally in select skate shops and online at adidas.com/skateboarding on May 14th!
