Happy Friday everyone! Hopefully you’re still getting a touch of the warm weather wherever you are right now. We’re getting straight to business because we have a packed newsletter today — we’re checking out upcoming collections from a bunch of my favorite brands, a release I wish I didn’t sleep on, your first look at the upcoming Notre x Vans collaboration, some additional footwear releases that you should have on your radar, and recommendations built for the colder weather.

18 EAST x NANGA

These two brands getting together for a joint capsule seems absolutely perfect to me. Don’t think this one is going to sit on the site for too long as there is a lot of great stuff, so if you’re eyeing anything, I recommend coming prepared — if you’re in Tokyo then you can check out the full collection at the Nanga store this Friday, October 25th. But if you can’t make that, then mark down October 30th on your calendars when the full collection drops globally via the 18 East website.

Obviously Nanga can do no wrong when it comes to outerwear, so all of the jackets are an automatic smash out of the park for me. With that being said, my personal favorite item from this collection might be the short-sleeve crewneck, which comes in this really nice wide waffle finish that’s going to be so cozy to wear this winter.

I NEED THIS ONE BADLY

XLIM and New Balance have recently come together to reintroduce the 509 — an old model from New Balance’s archive that fits perfectly in what’s going on in the shoe space right now. Listen, I’m a simple man, I see a mesh upper on a sneaker in all black or something dark in color, I buy it immediately.

Now, the release was exclusive to Asia but I did find these over at Flight Club for pretty much retail? I just copped my pair before blowing up the spot, because I don’t think we’ll see an official global release for these. Overall a solid collaboration that I can’t wait to rock myself soon. Excited to see how New Balance will integrate the 509 model into their roster in the coming future through general releases and more collaborations.

SEDAN ALL-PURPOSE

Continuing their run for FW24, Sedan is back with their 6th drop of the season. Dropping some really nice reversible bombers and vests, as well as pants, hats and more. Having a reversible jacket is great — I mean, you get two jackets in one, what more can you want? I’m normally not a vest type of guy, although I can appreciate this item and the reversible aspect is a nice touch that gives this a bit more versatility. I also really dig the way they flipped the Patagonia logo and replaced it with their own branding for the vest specifically.

The collection is available to preview over at the Sedan website here. Unfortunately, they only ship within Japan so for all of my Japanese readers get ready for the drop on October 26th. If you’re really trying to cop this but live outside of the shipping zone, I recommend FromJapan, a trusted proxy service which will make the purchase for you, and then ship it anywhere in the world for a very small fee.

A FIRST LOOK

Notre and Vans are back. Now before we get all excited, there is still no release date, but know that these should be coming out very soon. Saw these getting teased on the IG stories and just knew I had to relay the information back to you. This time around, Notre is bringing back their signature handshake logo on the Sk8-Hi. Below is your first look at the two colorways so far but we’ll probably see one more style as they usually drop these packs in three.
