Waking up in the morning to see everyone discussing Supreme’s newest collection is one of the most exciting things that happens in streetwear, especially when that collection is led by Tremaine Emory. There was a moment not too long ago where Supreme felt a little bit meh, and that was ok, but with new creative ideas and leaders within the brand, it feels like Supreme has received a new jolt of life that makes the brand exciting all over again.

In February of this year, Tremaine Emory was appointed as Creative Director of Supreme and within five months, it feels like Tremaine is right at home—Supreme has been the epitome of street culture for so long, and him being part of this team feels like a natural step forward.

I can go on for hours about how Tremaine’s vision and importance to the culture are perfect for a brand like Supreme, but instead, I want to get right down to business and discuss the heavy hitters from the most recent Fall/Winter 2022 collection. As usual, take some time with this one and view the collection several times before you make your final judgement, as you will end up liking and maybe disliking more stuff than you originally thought.

Sadly I can’t go into full detail on this collection because of the character limit per newsletter, but I will do my best to highlight my favorite pieces. Starting with the jackets, I was was excited to see the continuation of the lack of branding across these pieces.

Featuring artwork from Gonz, Jeff Hamilton, Cokney, and Raymond Pettibon, there are a lot of jackets to choose from. Not to mention the use of GORE-TEX, Cordura, reversible and modular pieces mixed with little to no branding will have you looking at this section for a while—there’s a whole lot more, but I simply can’t list it all.

Even writing this now while I look through the jackets is difficult to narrow down my favorites—there’s just a lot to choose from!! The reversible pieces always have a special place in my heart because it’s basically like having two different jackets, thus allowing me to get way more wear out of a piece.

Just some of the great reversible jackets this season.

Looking back at the jackets I already saw a few more that quickly became my favorites, with the potential of adding them to my wardrobe this fall season. If I had to choose, these next pieces are probably my top picks from the outwear lineup:

The shirt lineup might have some of my favorite pieces in this collection, starting with the Heavy Flannel Shirt, which features 3 really great colors, and a straight bottom cut, making this an absolute need in my personal collection.
