Top 10 Items of the Month

Rounding up October's best items.

Happy Thursday everyone! It’s been a busy few weeks here at the SNL HQ and it’s about to get a whole lot busier as we get closer to the end of the year — the content machine is spinning at full speed, and we have a lot of great articles coming in the pipeline in the next few weeks. October was all about the layers, jackets, boots and more — arguably the most fun time of the year to really start dressing.

10. STUSSY WORKGEAR JACKET

I’m a simple man, I see a nice little work jacket, I buy it immediately. These are part of Stussy’s recent drop and are still available on their website here.

9. THE NORTH FACE PURPLE LABEL + DR. MARTENS

Boot season is upon us, and The North Face Purple Label is wasting no time when it comes to giving us what we want. Truly one of those brands that I will stan until I die. Sadly for most of us, this release was exclusive to Asia via the Nanamica stores.

8. FUGAZI WORK JACKET

Yet another work jacket sneaks its way into this month’s Top 10. This one is cool because although simple, the pony collar detail sprinkles a little bit of fun to the piece, which levels things up over your regular work jacket.

7. XLIM + NEW BALANCE 509

Maybe my favorite shoe purchase of the month personally. Love that New Balance has dove back into the archives to bring this one back. Excited to see them put more effort by bringing in more general release colorways using this model.

6. LOEWE WORK JACKET

Clearly there’s a pattern here because we have yet another work jacket reaching this month’s Top 10. Listen, this jacket may cost an insane amount of money, but that blue fade is making me act in ways that will leave me financially damaged for years to come.

5. PENNON BOAT SHOES

Another heavy hitter from Korea making sick footwear? Sign me up! Pennon is currently working on an international website where those outside of Korea can easily purchase their products. No news on exactly when that is going to happen… I heard very soon, so until then you should smash the follow on their Instagram to stay on top of the news.

4. UMBRO ‘Hard Times’ AW24 COLLECTION 2

Umbro has been absolutely snapping for their 100 year celebration… Really hope that they are going to continue this steam into next year because everything they drop is just so good.

3. NONNATIVE x ASICS GEL-TERRAIN

That’s that OOO WEE! I have an instant soft spot for anything that nonnative do and this collaboration with Asics is no different. Just a great color palette that comes together to create a nice, easy-wearing shoe.

2. DANNER Mt.RIDGE LOW W/P

Sometimes you just need something classic and easy to wear. These Danner grain leather joints are exactly that — something that’s going to age like fine wine as time goes on. Plus, that grain leather is just going to end up softing around your foot the more you wear it, making it the most comfortable boots you own.

1. CRICLE CAGE MOUNTAIN HIKER

These low-top hikers took Instagram by absolute storm. I’m still in the process of learning about this brand as I had randomly discovered it the other day. Fun fact, I thought the brand was called Circle Cage, but a spelling mistake during trademarking has now forced the brand to go as Cricle Cage — hilariously funny, but I kind of love that they just went with it anyway. I’m currently working on trying to get a pair myself to see how the quality is. Stay tuned!
