I have to come clean. I’ve been having a serious clothing crisis again. Despite having a lot of stuff to wear, I feel like I have absolutely nothing to wear. Coming out of winter is always weird because you find a uniform that works and then when the weather shifts it feels like you’re getting into fashion for the very first time. What shirt do I wear? Or do I even want to wear shirts in general? What shoes did I put away in my closet that I have forgotten about? Is there anything I want to replace? The list goes on.

I’m slowly trying to organize my closet ever since I moved to a new spot—right now my closet situation is a disaster. Piles of clothing covered with my everyday pieces that I rotate and don’t have time to put away properly. This creates chaos, but I’m working on it.

Until then, I’m trying to get excited about getting dressed in ways I haven’t recently. One of these exciting moments happened when I picked up a new pair of these ultra light seersucker pants from Paratodo that are unlike anything I have in my closet. I did write about these joints in a recent newsletter, but I’m doubling down on the plug because these are about to be the only pants I wear this summer.

Fit is true to size, comes with massive side pockets and a couple smaller pockets on the inside. I do wish there was some sort of zipper enclosure though, but it’s not a deal breaker for me. I did put the massive pockets to the test by loading them up with a bunch of random junk I needed to carry from my car—worked flawlessly. Perfect for anyone who’s looking to carry all the groceries in one trip type energy.

Drawstrings at the leg opening allows for easy styling on the go. Insanely light and breathable, which is going to be key this summer. I think the most important thing is how well these fall on shoes. I paired them with these Prada joints, but I did run a test with my full rotation and they passed with flying colors. This colorway is running low in sizing, but maybe the homies from Paratodo will do a little restock if we ask them nicely? There is an additional olive colorway that’s still available in more sizes!

NEW AMSTERDAM DENIM

I’m also shopping for some new denim. Been having my eyes on the new stuff from New Amsterdam, which comes in a classic relaxed fit that still has plenty of room to play in. I have one of their pleated trousers and they’ve been a blast to wear so I’m going to double down with some jeans. Great prices with solid craftsmanship and simple designs is all I need sometimes. I think they really nailed that here. Huge variety of sizing in both waist and length so it shouldn’t be an issue for anyone to get something that’s right for them.
