Before I begin with Pt. 2 of The Pants Probe™, I figured this would be a good time to address the future of this newsletter.
Originally, I was planning to go into a deep dive as to what the content is going to look like moving forward, but I decided to create this wonderful image instead:
The free content that you’ve been enjoying so far will remain the same. Truth be told, gathering recommendations takes a lot of work, and finding the right stores that carry the products takes a lot of time to curate.
This is why I decided to create a $5/month subscription option that will give you access to recommendations with links and release dates in order to purchase the clothes I write about! (I’ll still provide release date info for the free newsletters). You’ll also get more content on a regular basis.
Free or paid subscribers, I love you all, and will forever appreciate all of the support <3
Now that the elevator pitch has come to an end, it’s time to talk about the topic that brought you here in the first place, PANTS! — Click here in case you missed out on the first edition of The Pants Probe™ Letter!
THEY TEASING US!
The team over at ALL CAPS STUDIO loves to tease the timeline with some upcoming goodies. Their latest teaser features a pair of some very interesting pants that recently grabbed my attention.
There’s currently no release date for these, but expect them to drop sometime in March. (This is the part where I casually mention that I will let the paid subscribers know when these are going to release when I have the info.)
THERE’S ALWAYS ROOM FOR PAISLEY
Paisley is one of those patterns that will most likely never go out of style. It seems like there’s a neverending wave of color options, and for that, it keeps me interested.
Checks is a brand that you might be already aware of, but if you’re not, then you need to know this brand from New Zealand. Every time I look at their collections I am reminded of warmer times, which gets me excited when the temperature is currently below freezing.
MODERN PROBLEMS REQUIRE MODERN SOLUTIONS
Sometimes we need to go back to our roots. I am talking about whipping out your iPod and playing that old Tyler, The Creator while rocking a pair of your favorite cropped pants.
Every person needs at least one pair of beige pants, and I think these ones from General Admission will make a great addition to your closet. Now, the color on these are labeled as “ecru”, and after doing 2.1 seconds worth of research I found out the following information: “Traditionally ecru was considered a shade of beige, but beginning in the 19th century it became more precisely defined as "a grayish-yellow that is greener and paler than chamois or old ivory.”
What does this mean? Basically, these pants are beige, but if you’re feeling like trolling your friends then let them know that these aren’t beige but are actually ecru, and see how they will react to this. (I am not responsible for any potential eyeballs rolling so far to the back of their heads that they get stuck.)
SO YOU’RE SAYING THERE’S A CHANCE?
If you’re an avid reader of the twitter account, then you are probably annoyed by the number of times I have talked about Henry’s pants on your feed. The time has come for you to take the plunge and get yourself your own version of Henry’s because I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
Usually, you’d be able to make your own request and get yourself some customs, but it seems like that option is slowly being phased out, and general drops will become more of a regular occurrence for this brand.
Don’t sleep as these 2 pairs will be dropping in a variety of sizes on Jan 21st, 12 pm ET—yes, size 36 boys will be eating!
ANOTHER DAY ANOTHER BAGGY PANT
Did you really think I wasn’t going to discuss some baggy pants in this letter? Nanamica has an array of great pants, but the ones that I have been feeling the most have been these Cargo Pants from SS22.
The fit of these are pretty much perfect when it comes to baggy pants, and is the main reason why I am recommending these today. If you’re in New York, then you have to roll by the store and see them for yourself!
SINCE EVERYONE IS ADDICTED TO PUFFERS
Everyone I know has a puffer jacket, but not everyone has puffer pants. Since these pants are made to order, the variety of sizes you can request is pretty wild—I’m talking size 40 waist!—and I know a lot of us sometimes have a hard time getting nice pants that fit right, that’s why I recommend you check out these pants by Mad.
These pants will take a little bit to get to you but don’t be alarmed. A small team from Canada is hand-making these just for you, and those who wait will be rewarded! So let’s support small businesses during these times, especially those that are making cool stuff. More detail on these pants can be found here.
That concludes The Pants Probe™ Pt. 2. As always a big thank you to everyone who reads the newsletter. If you need even more content then I suggest you follow the social pages: Twitter and Instagram
