Summer Footwear For Chillin'
Time to let the dogs out and go full chill mode with sandals, slides & other summer-ready footwear recommendations.
A lot of the SNLetter readers have been hitting my line recently requesting some proper summer footwear attire that would elevate the chillin’ to maximum levels. Shoes are great but sometimes you want to let the dogs out, and what better way to do so than with some proper sandals and sandal-adjacent footwear?
Sandal research has been my top priority in the last few weeks, and I’m happy to finally deliver today’s recommendations, featuring over 30 different styles to choose from, to get us started on our toe-reveal journey. If you haven’t guessed already, in today’s newsletter we are diving into the world of summer-ready, chillin'-oriented, swag-for-your-feet sandals, slides, and other options that share similar vibes — I did find a bunch of today’s recommendations on sale, so make sure to thank your wallet on my behalf.
THE STARTER
Let’s keep things light by starting off today with a brand everyone should be familiar with—Suicoke. This brand has been making footwear since the late 2000s, with a focus on creating comfortable performance sandals that are also fashionable. Today, Suicoke is a go to brand when it comes to just that, a pair of great looking sandals or slides that could still work in a fashion-centric outfit.
Suicoke has a pretty impressive range of past collaborations, and their continuous commitment in bringing in more brands to work with on future projects is keeping things alive and exciting. Hunting for past collabs is always an option, but since the brand is easily available across a variety of stores, it’s pretty easy to secure a style that works for you without needing to pay crazy resell prices. Each pair comes equipped with some Vibram soles, good hardware, and their level of overall quality is at a level where they wont fall apart after a few wears—what I’m saying is, these are built to last.
Different regions get different product/collaborations, which is kind of annoying but it is what it is. Check out their homepage for more info regarding their catalog and what they offer — you can shop by region, and then choose general releases or collaborations to see what they have. Really good way to see how different regions differ in the styles they offer.
Their stockist page will be the best way to get these from a store that’s closest to you to avoid those duties!
I found some styles on sale for almost 40% off here. Of course SSENSE is also having some sales on all of their Suicoke styles right now, which you can check out here.
Found an additional style called Marim that doesn’t seem to be offered in a lot of places, this is as basic of a sandal as you’re going to get from Suicoke for almost half off here.
