Finding good clothes can sometimes feel difficult. Sure, you can go to a shop that carries every brand under the sun, but before you know it you’re on page 241 and haven’t made a single decision on what you might buy. It’s not all bad though because there are plenty of stores that focus on quality over quantity while creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone to enjoy—shopping in person should be fun and relaxing but the majority of the time it feels the opposite of that.
Estudio Niksen is a store based out of Montreal, Canada that I believe has established a great balance which offers a welcoming atmosphere through its physical storefront, paired with a variety of great labels to choose from to create a pretty fun shopping experience—to all my people unable to shop in person, the online shop is popping too, don’t worry!
In today’s newsletter, I partnered up with Estudio Niksen to bring a highly exclusive subscriber sale to all of our paid subscribers — a 15% off discount code on everything at their store for the entire week! Plus, we are going to check out Estudio Niksen’s physical location that’s a must-stop for anyone visiting the city, as well as taking a look at the array of garments they have to purchase, and some other great stuff.
THE SPACE
Located at 2065 Rue Parthenais Suite 029, Montreal, Estudio Niksen has nailed a vibe where you can come hang out while looking at clothes without feeling like you’re in a traditional store. Sometimes I get into a retail location and I’m instantly swept away by this overwhelming vibe that has been curated that makes me want to leave immediately—it shouldn’t be like that though, and I’m happy to discover a space like Estudio Niksen that is putting emphasis on curating a good shopping experience to its shoppers.
The space is an open showroom and studio where you can see and try on a variety of great garments from a range of different labels. While you’re getting your shopping on, experience the behind-the-scenes happenings of how a store operates thanks to their open concept—it’s something you need to experience yourself, so I won’t go into too much detail because I don’t want to spoil the surprise. Be sure to stop by if you’re ever in Montreal!
Note: New York get ready, Estudio Niksen is coming to a pop-up near you on April 29-30th. Hopefully this newsletter will be enough convincing to try their pieces, but if you a better look make sure to stop by as this pop-up will be the perfect time to see and try out the pieces in person.
More details to follow so make sure to follow them on IG to not miss any info.
THE CLOTHES
Now for the juicy part of the newsletter, the clothing! As some of you may already know, I’m pilled by fashion brands out of South Korea right now—the quality I’ve experienced has been nothing but great, and the prices across almost every brand are amazing due to no minimum orders and lower manufacturing costs. More recently, there has been an influx of younger designers who are focusing on keeping overhead costs low while producing great quality collections.
Getting these garments can be annoying, but now it doesn’t have to be because places like Estudio Niksen offer a space where you can shop a lot of overseas labels—I want to mention that not everything at this store is from South Korea though, as they also focus on other areas around the globe in order to curate a wide selection of exciting pieces to choose from.
