Paris Fashion Week Report
A new brand from Massimo Osti Studio, bowling shoes from Brain Dead, golf course ready attire from Metalwood and more!
Feels like it’s been a minute since the last newsletter, but we’re back! I just returned from Paris Fashion Week, which was hectic, but it was filled with a lot of exciting moments that I can’t wait to share with you. Aside from clocking in over 60k steps in just four days, I got a chance to see a variety of new collections, collaborations and other things in between that have left me feeling excited about fashion for the next little while — Let’s keep it short and dive straight into business by checking out some of my favorite things I'm allowed to talk about that I saw during Paris Fashion Week!
For all my paid subscribers, a Paris Shopping Guide is currently in the works and should be out in a week or so! So be sure to stay tuned for that.
A NEW CHALLENGER APPROACHES
This week Massimo Osti Studio debuted their new project that aims to continue the legacy of Massimo Osti’s work by looking forward to the future. For those who don’t know, he was the genius behind brands like Stone Island and C.P. Company. He’s a designer that everyone should know about — of course, some folks who are new to the game might not know him yet, and if that’s you, I recommend taking some time to get familiar with his work.
Anyway, this past week the Massimo Osti Studio showed off a new line of exciting garments through an exhibition called SYNOPSIS — which will drop in various chapters across the year. There was a lot of really solid outerwear that felt new and refreshing while still maintaining that archival spirit of Massimo’s work. I felt like the studio did a great job of finding a spot for this new line that fits perfectly between C.P. and Stone Island.
Enough of the blabbering though, let’s look at the clothes! Here is a sneak peek at what we can expect from this new line:
The exhibition also featured a lot of archival garments from the early 2000s that were used as inspiration to create this new line. It was fun to be able to see the design process and just go back in time to see how certain pieces have aged and how they can fit in today’s fashion. Below are a few of my favorite pieces from the archive:
UPCOMING HEAT FROM YUKETEN
The hunt for elegant footwear doesn’t stop, and I was beyond hyped to finally check out the footwear from Yuketen in person. You can just feel and see the quality instantly when you pick up any pair of their shoes, and their newest collection has a bunch of new styles that have me excited for next year’s Fall/Winter season.
I think the best part about Yuketen is the variety of colorways that are offered. A solid amount of styles that come in different finishes keeps things exciting for the customer. The photos above are just the tip of the iceberg of what’s coming and if you haven’t heard of this brand I recommend doing some research to get familiar. I’ll be sure to keep you posted as this new collection hits their store in the near future.
MORE FOOTWEAR
While there were a lot of amazing runway shows, for me, the various new footwear announcements were some of the best moments this fashion week. Braindead debuted their newest collaboration with Adidas with a bowling shoe, which I’m still kind of unsure about the details of the release — I believe the all-black is going to drop while the white is an F&F exclusive. Might be wrong on this though!
