Going Shopping With Lost & Found
Checking out one of the best places to shop for quality menswear.
In today’s newsletter, we are going shopping with one of my favourite stores, Lost & Found. We’ll be taking a quick look at their new store in Toronto, what kind of brands you can find, and a few recommendations from their current selection. Plus an exclusive discount for all of my paid subscribers to use at the store!
I used to live in Toronto for a hot second some years back, so I was always finding myself at Lost & Found discovering new clothes to be obsessed over. The truth is, I was a bit more of a window shopper at that time because if you’re from the city then you already know it is not cheap to exist there. But that did not stop me from observing and learning about the different brands that they carried. Anyway, L&F was definitely a spot you have to visit if you were looking for good quality, classic menswear, with a mix of some other styles that just fit the rest of their catalog so well.
Founded in 2011, the store has had a few different locations, and within each space, you could constantly see growth happening year after year — if you’re a Toronto native, then you know what I’m talking about, but basically, there was always something new and exciting to experience at the store, and that made visiting a lot of fun. Fast forward to today, Lost & Found enters a new chapter, with their newly expanded location that just opened on 12 Ossington Ave, in Toronto, Canada — I really liked their last spot, but this new one is just a huge upgrade that creates a completely new and refreshing environment that allows you to easily dive into the world of clothes. Come with me to take a look at what you can expect when you walk through those doors for the first time.
Their brand selection is massive, so when you visit you can expect to see brands like Engineered Garments, The Real McCoy’s, Stussy, Auralee, Comme des Garcons, Howlin’, and many many more brands. I’m not kidding, I did a quick count and they are stocking something like 70 brands, that’s a lot! Even with that kind of arsenal you still feel like the shop has that care and attention to detail, the clothes and the customer that you might expect of a small boutique — this experience, at least for me, is more welcoming and exciting.
They have a pretty crazy Paraboot wall that is definitely worth checking out. If you ever had any sizing concerns then this is the place to come try it yourself. If you can’t make the trip no stress though, because all of these brands are available directly on their online store.
While the selection is great, what really has me coming back here are the people. Having a place to shop is one thing, but having a space to come through and talk about clothing with people who share a similar interest is what it’s all about. The people who work here will make you feel welcomed and will end up enhancing your shopping experience.
You can check out Lost & Found in Toronto at 12 Ossington Ave, and their online shop is here.
WHAT TO BUY THIS WEEK
Now that we have taken a look at the space, let’s dive right into the juicy stuff — the clothing. Today we’ll be checking out what kind of clothing to expect when visiting Lost & Found!
Everything you see today will be available to purchase directly at their store — for all my paid subscribers, you’ll find a link at the bottom that will have the 10% discount code and break down of each product featured in today’s newsletter.
I’ve been excited for layering season, I’m talking thicker shirts, jackets, hoodies, I mean there are so many items that I haven’t touched in a while that have me ready for the cold. L&F has a pretty vast collection of shirts that are definitely going to have you looking proper in no time — No worries, for all of my folks who are still enjoying the heat, there are plenty of short-sleeved options to choose from. With some even being on sale.
Personal favorites come from brands like Comme des Garcons, Wanze, Our Legacy, Barena Venezia, Paa, and Schnayderman’s! — Let’s talk about that blue shirt from Comme real quick, yeah it might seem simple but the fabric quality is absolutely insane. The French cotton just stands above the rest, it’s something you have to experience in person to really understand. I’ve been eyeing this particular shirt for a while now and it might be time to finally pull the trigger.
Getting back on track, the shirt selection is no joke… their Gitman Vintage selection is popping and is updated regularly. They also hosted a recent event in-store where you can come by and get a custom shirt made by Gitman — sad I missed it, but happy to know stuff like this is happening!
Beams Plus is pretty easy to get in America, but here in Canada the options are sort of limited, so it’s nice to have a store like L&F give us access to a bunch of different garments from the brand. The Beams Plus selection at this place is solid, there are a lot of pieces to choose from, with new styles being added constantly. There are also pieces that I see get carried here that I don’t usually see in other stores, which is nice to know when you’re looking for something a bit more different from the brand.
One does not simply stop talking about pants, especially when we are shopping at Lost & Found — they have a pretty solid denim selection, a bunch of great options from Beams Plus, and of course classic trousers and other pant styles in the mix that offer something for everyone. Here are some of my picks that I think are hot!
Still lots of sizes available of the infamous Our Legacy digital printed denim, so don’t sleep on that! Some great choices from Comme if you’re looking for something that has that chic factor, and of course we can’t forget Sunflower, an underdog in the menswear game that is creating such cool stuff right now!
There are honestly a lot of different options, and it’s hard to just pick a couple to show you today. They also have a variety of great sweatpants, military-inspired trousers, some shorts, and other stuff in between.
This is a place where you can get a Barbour Wax Coat, and a Nanga puffer all under the same roof. Their buying doesn’t stick to one genre, as different styles come together to display how different items can work with each other — now that’s fashion! L&F also drops new stuff all the time, so it’s definitely worth checking back frequently because if you’re late, you will regret it. Sizes do not sit!
If you’re stuck in terms of what you are looking for when it comes to jacket styles, then you’ve come to the right place. L&F has a pretty wide selection of outerwear for all types of climates. Puffers for the cold, light jackets, military-inspired, and a range of classic styles that will never go out of style. Personal favorites that are currently available right now come from brands like Nanga, Randy’s Garments, and The Real McCoy’s — The Real McCoy’s has a pretty crazy lineup of jackets that you should definitely check out. They aren’t cheap but the quality level is there, and trust me on this, it’s definitely worth the money. It’s something you need to experience in person to truly understand what I mean.
One thing about this particular store is that their Paraboot selection is absolutely wild. The thing is, you can’t sleep because sizes seem to fly, but at least there are a lot of footwear to choose from so you might be able to score some heat if you’re not too late to the party. For all of my 9-5 bag-chasing, corporate grinders, you’re also in luck because I know that sneakers aren’t cutting it unless it’s casual Friday — look it is what it is, so if you need to wear dress shoes to work, at least do it right. The leather shoe selection at L&F will have you looking squeaky clean in no time.
This is going to be a solid spot for some boots as well, with brands like Viberg making their own splash thanks to its variety — definitely recommend going deeper into this specific selection. Here are just a few of my favorites that are currently available.
If you’re looking for sneakers then you’ll be covered as well. The sneaker selection is pretty vast, choose from brands like Nike, New Balance, Vans, and more!
Another thing that Lost & Found does well is supply a pretty solid collection of basics that are oozing that quality we are all looking for. The hunt for “The Perfect” t-shirt might be silly, but if you’re ever trying to find what you really want, then you might just find it here. There are also really solid choices of sweats, hoodies and anything that’s strictly for the cozy vibe.
There are some staple brands that come to mind when talking about basics. Brands like Lady White Co., Sunray Sportswear, The Real McCoy’s, and so forth… Lucky for us, L&F has a lot of these on hand for you to experience — sometimes stores carry one or two brands that specialize in basics, so it’s nice to see a bit more variety that allows you to compare each brand all in one place.
This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to shopping here. The selection for bags, home goods, socks, belts, scarves and whatever else you may need to create your dream outfit are all here. Sure, clothes are important but don’t neglect the little details that will end up taking your fit to that next level.
USA customers are going to be eating with that US dollar to CAD conversion, and all US shipping is free after a $300 order, so that’s already a deal and a half, and if you’re in the neighborhood definitely stop by to browse their selection! Keep a close eye on this store as they are constantly dropping new stuff — I find that following them on Instagram is the best way to stay up-to-date on their new drops.

I was in Toronto for the first time last year and wish I would’ve known about L&F!
Looks like an amazing shop. Adding to my list for next time. Thanks as always for sharing.
Wait how do you get Beams Plus in America easily? I know they sell it like Mr. Porter type places, but I can never get their website to work
