It’s time to be honest, I’m a gatekeeper. You might think I’m kidding, but it’s true, to an extent. I cover a lot of great items and brands on the blog, but there are brands that I like to keep to myself—some of the sauce is meant to be kept a secret. However, there comes a time where it’s my duty to stop gatekeeping and instead spread the word of one of those brands.
Curated Parade is a high-end menswear brand out of Seoul that focuses on combining casual and sporty to create a fresh take on our everyday items. Founded in 2021, Curated Parade is already well underway, a vast range of clothes that have been dropped in the last two years alone will have you busy going through their catalog. In today’s newsletter, I’m diving into the pieces that made me fall in love with this brand, some great items that are currently available in the store, and how you can get some of their items yourself!
For me, one of the most important factors when buying a pair of pants is looking at the way they fall on my shoes. Sometimes you get too much fabric at the bottom, sometimes the leg opening is not enough, which causes weird bunching at the shoe, and sometimes it’s something completely else. Having gone through all sorts of pants throughout my pant-wearing-career, it has helped me identify exactly what I need to look for.
The TR Black pants became my go to pants after wearing them only a few times. The high-quality polyester is the key to the way these pants fall on your shoes. Material feels extremely comfortable, the fact that they are anti-wrinkle is amazing, lightweight and breathable is an added plus, and the best part of it all, it’s really easy to clean—an important factor in any item of clothes if you ask me. Now, where the pant takes off to the next level is with the hardware that can be found at the bottom of the pants.
These buttons allow you to quickly adjust the fit of each leg by either condensing or extending the fabric—for all of my baggy enthusiasts, the fit is still decently baggy, but if you’re looking for something slimmer then button that hardware and you’re all set.
I’ve also included a comparison below that shows the two different styles you can turn your pants into as well as the hardware itself! The left is what your pant will look like when the hardware is unbuttoned, and the right is the opposite.
The black pair you see above are currently in low stock on the website, so act fast, but with that being said they are also available in grey, light grey, and even purple—just to note, the purple colorway are mainly made out of wool instead of the polyester! I know a bunch of you will have questions regarding the shipping for these joints, and so far my experience was smooth. No extra duties, and shipping was pretty quick! Just translate via Chrome’s built in translator feature, and go about your checkout procedure as usual.
Believe it or not, but one area where my pant rotation lacks was sweatpants. I just didn’t really have any sweatpants that I liked and haven’t bothered getting any new ones. Curated Parade has come in clutch with their own version of the sweatpants that I’ve been really happy to wear. The 100% cotton bottoms are extremely comfortable and are perfect for any cozy inspired outfit.
Similarly to the TR pants I spoke about earlier, these sweats have adjustable leg openings via a zipper that creates a looser fit if desired—even with the zipper closed these have a nice amount of room at the bottom of the pants. The pockets are pretty big, and the elastic waistband is comfortable.
Available in both black and grey on their website, these are an amazing pair of very soft sweatpants that you can rock with any fit. Been wearing these a lot recently and they’ve been easy to match with any of my outfits—also really great in the colder weather.
This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes pant style variety offered from this brand, and while I won’t be able to talk about them in detail today, I guarantee that you will not be disappointed if you end up picking up a pair of your own—I’m going to be picking up a few different styles myself soon. There’s a lot to choose from, but before we move on from pants I wanted to leave you with a collage of some of the fire options that are available on their website now—
There’s been some recent discourse on zip-up hoodies recently, and it has some of us at a crossroads oven, but I’m here to report that zip hoodies are very much in. They are an essential piece if you’re thinking about layering, you just need to make sure that you’re buying a hoodie with proper hardware—if the zipper is cheap, it ruins the entire hoodie, and nobody wants that!
If you’re someone who’s on the fence, then you might have to venture into the zip-up lifestyle by picking up Curated Parade’s JE zip-up. This hoodie comes from the same set as the sweatpants I spoke about earlier, and if you’re looking for a very comfortable all black set then this will probably be the best move for your buck.
The double zipper is a must on any zip hoodie or jacket even—a double zipper allows you to open the zipper from each side, which helps with the styling of the hoodie. Curated Parade’s zip hoodie goes to the next level with the wave zipper which is honestly a subtle detail that ends up just adding some extra flare to your fit.
From personal experience zip hoodies can be annoying if the bottom of the hoodie bunches up, creating an unwanted pouch near the pockets when you have it zipped up. This is due to the fit as well as the zipper quality in general, and from the recent testing I’ve done on the above piece, I can confidently say that this hoodie didn’t have this issue and has become one of the best fitting zip’s I currently own.
One thing to note is one of the pockets is smaller while the other one is bigger due to the way the wave goes through the hoodie—not a big deal for me, but I figured it would be good to note! In terms of sizing I got a 48, and I usually wear XL, and L if I want a slightly fitted look in hoodies.
You can buy the hoodie in black from their site here, and the grey version of it here.
Overall I have nothing but great things to say about this brand. Great styles that are elevated and most importantly, fun to wear! I’m definitely going to be spending some time looking at their full catalog as I venture into their jackets.
Before I go I want to leave you with some photos of other pieces that I had my eyes on!! Very excited to continue to watch this brand grow and would love to know how you feel about the clothes yourself!
