Last week I had the chance to check out the latest Kotn Spring/Summer collection that left me excited for the summer. I’ve been looking to add some new garments that focus on breathability in preparation for the hotter season. I wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted until I got to see the new stuff from Kotn in person—my mission seemed to be completed before it even began.

Before we dive into my favorites, I wanted to highlight the new lookbook and the overall vibe Kotn is going for in this new drop. I’ve already been saying this with my friends for months now, but this summer is all about chilling. Wherever that might be, we’re summer-maxing. That means hanging out with the homies and doing absolutely nothing but sharing good times. Having unscheduled days that unfold naturally. And we're doing it in relaxed and loose fitting clothes that are created using natural linen and cotton fibres that are really lightweight and easy to wear. The pieces are inspired and built around everyday elegance of doing nothing—think of chillin in the park on a beautiful Sunday afternoon eating snacks and spending time with close ones. Drawing inspiration from the effortless style of 90s tailoring, relaxed shirting, breathable fabrics, and natural layering that’s perfect for the hot summer days.
Let’s talk about the shirts. Crafted using an organic blend of linen and cotton, you can expect a soft feeling fabric that that flows with your body thanks to its relaxed fit. Go with your true size and you can expect something with a bit more room that drapes over your body. Choose from short and long sleeve—while I personally love the long sleeves, we definitely shouldn’t skip out the short sleeve options from this drop. Another detail that I liked on these specifically are the smaller collars, which in my opinion, always look better over larger collars that you might see elsewhere.
Linen pants for the summer? Yeah, I think that’s going to be the move. Great fit constructed using a lightweight linen so you can expect nothing but breathability with these ones. Because of their slight taper, they end up falling on your shoes in a more natural way that looks great in any position. Two big pockets on the inside with a singular one on the back allows for effortless storage for things like your wallet, phone and keys. They’re also on a draw string so you can ensure the fit is right—I personally sized up on these to get that extra baggy look and I’m happy that I did.
For those looking to let the legs shine this summer are in luck as there are several pairs of shorts in a similar style to pick from. Same deal as the pants, 100% linen with a loose fit that ends right at the knee. The move this summer are shorts that have some length! Let’s get them to the knee or even below for maximum steeze. These are going to be key for when that cottage season hits.

Overall a very solid lineup of clothes that I’m honestly excited to wear. I’ve been lounging in the pants since the moment I got them, and the button ups have been so much fun to just throw overtop any tee. The natural colors work well with so many different fits that makes it simple to incorporate into your existing outfits. Natural fibres are a vibe that create an ongoing story. You can expect these pieces to get softer and change as you continue to wear and wash the garments. Whether its everyday wear or a new outfit for your next trip down south, this is just a great drop that has something for everyone.
The best part of it all is it’s all priced so well. Things are getting expensive, but Kotn is managing to keep those prices honest and low, making these garments well worth your money. Honestly, don’t think anyone is going to be disappointed with this one.
