Early Sale with Graziano and Gutierrez
ASICS slappers, Adidas does Oasis, a good collab you need to know about, and the return of the 9" inseam.
This week came at me fast because of the sudden surge in really good fashion content. Today’s newsletter is jampacked with heat from ASICS, early access to fire shirts from Graziano and Gutierrez, shoes with Liam Gallagher of Oasis, the return of the over the knee shorts, and more!
EARLY BIRD HEAT FROM GRAZIANO AND GUTIERREZ
To start it off, I wanted to talk about a quick sale that is about to happen over at Graziano and Gutierrez—the collection features an array of shirts using repurposed Mexican textiles, shorts, pants, and more! With all of that happening, we decided it would be a lot more fun to give all of the newsletter readers a chance to get access to the sale a little earlier.
To access the sale hit the link here—the password to the store is: valencia—once you’ve entered that you’re free to shop on the numerous styles offered by G&G! I’ve been a big fan of this brand for some time now, and it was only natural for the two of us to come together and shine more light on some really well made pieces.
I do not make commission from the sales, all profits will go towards supporting the brand!!
THE REIGN CONTINUES
I can’t remember whether or not I’ve said this before already, but it needs to be said again for good measure—ASICS is making the best shoes right now, at least at this very moment in my personal style journey. They are comfortable, their variety of colorways and models allows for pretty easy pairing to the clothes you already own, and having Kiko Kostadinov as their creative director is just an added bonus.
The GEL-Kayano 14 has been in the spotlight recently featuring an upcoming collab with Jound that looks really good, and with its recent release of the Pastel Pack that has 3 really good colors to choose from. The Rose seems to have dropped in women’s sizing only so make sure to convert those feet sizes! Clay Grey and Light Sage are available in all sizes on the ASICS website right now.
THIS COLOR IS TOO NICE
Clay/Beige colors are some of my favorite right now for some reason, and because of that I need to stay careful on how much of this color I incorporate into my personal style without going overboard. Because of this, I find myself tending to go towards more items that have these colors at the moment. This next colorway of the Salomon ACS Pro Advanced doesn’t need much explanation.
It seems like these have already hit some Salomon retailers—a very small run of sizes can be found here, and if you want to pay for crazy shipping you can get them in more sizes here. Nothing in terms of an official announcement has happened yet, so it’s safe to assume that these will pop up in a variety of stores within the next coming weeks.
Check your local stores that carried the last colorway of the ACS Pro Advanced and you might get lucky to snag a pair!
NEED TO ACT FAST ON THIS ONE
This next collaboration between Madhappy and Columbia is a really fun one. It drops today at 12PM ET on Madhappy’s Instagram—which isn’t my favorite way of shopping if I’m being honest, but it is what it is!!
Madhappy is a brand that has been trying to make a real impact by creating and funding, through different mediums aimed at supporting mental health—this is really cool to see!
I’m a big fan of the patterns and colors chosen for this collection. Shorts are definitely the best items for me personally, but that doesn’t mean the rest of the collection doesn’t hit. Featuring everything from jackets to socks, this collection is big so get those eyes ready. This is actually one of those collabs that has pieces that look great together and separately, a rare occurrence if you ask me.
A bit tough showcasing the full collection as there isn’t any easy way to extract the photos from the IG store display—one of the many issues I have with buying through instagram.
The drop happens today at 12pm ET on Madhappy and Columbia IG!
FOR THE OASIS FANS
Liam Gallagher returns to collaborate on his second shoe with Adidas. The LG II SPZL’s grey tones is what drives my interest the most, but it’s not to the point of just creating a grey shoe. The bit of color on the tongue ends up creating good chemistry between the two colors while maintaining a rather simple overall feel—great execution!
There’s still some time to prepare as this one will be available to purchase through Adidas on July 22.
OVER THE KNEE IS BACK
I went on a rant the other day in regards to the official return of shorts that go over the knee—aka 9” inseam. I haven’t officially identified what inseam makes shorts applicable to over the knee movement, so we will use 9” as the staple for now.
Skaters have been rocking this style already, and recently adopted by a variety of celebrities is proof that there’s something worth looking at here. This isn’t to say that 5” inseam is done with, you should be happy to wear what you want, but let’s not rule it out and label it as a trend that will never come back. I love to get people talking, and sometimes our conversations have ripple effects that get others talking.
My summer rotation only features shorts that go over the knee and I’ve been really loving every minute of it, granted I am 6’3 and this look might not work for all of my short kings out there—you’ve been warned, I’m sorry—but if you have swag then no matter your height, you’ll be able to rock whatever you want and pull it off. Remember to believe in yourself and your vision!!
