Brands To Watch In 2024
A few personal favorites I'll be keeping a closer eye on in the new year.
I always like to start the new year by looking back at what brands left the most memorable impact on me from the year before. It’s easy to get lost in today’s fast-paced fashion world, but there have been a few players that I’ve been excited to keep a closer eye on.
Today’s list aims to shine some light on brands that I think deserve to be talked about — don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of great brands out there that deserve their moment, but we’ll just have to save them for another time. Without further ado, let’s dive straight into business.
SUNFLOWER
A lot of cool fashion things are happening in Copenhagen right now, and one of those things is Sunflower. Founded in 2018, the brand is not focusing on reinventing the wheel, but rather focusing on delivering their own version of menswear classics that you’ll be able to enjoy for years to come. Menswear is one of those things that works amazingly on its own and can easily be implemented into different genres, that’s what makes it fun — I think this is why a brand like Sunflower can get that excitement, because of its ability to live on its own or be integrated into other genres of fashion.
Good clothing isn’t cheap, but Sunflower manages to deliver high quality garments that are actually attainable. Their variety is simple, yet elegant, allowing you to easily wear their garments to work and for a night out — of course this all comes down to your own personal styling and how you wear each individual item. Having that versatility is crucial for longevity, I mean after all, nobody wants to get bored of a garment after only a few wears.

FACES OF ANOTHER
This brand from Canada is relatively new, and I honestly can’t find much information about its history online, but what it does have are pieces that will put me in financial turmoil — I need to do some more research on the brand, but I’ll save that for another time. For now, I’m enjoying their recent collection, which is small, but is filled with quality items for anyone who has been obsessed over cropped fitting styles recently.
For me, it’s all about the pants. I mean, look at the shape, the fit! It’s exactly what I want from a pant. All that’s left is to stay alert on their next drop so I can score a pair in my size. The shirts are great too. Don’t get me wrong, I love a classic cut that runs a bit longer, but if I’m not planning on tucking it then having a button up that fits just above the waistline is exactly what I want. Can’t wait to see how this brand continues to grow in 2024.

THAMES MMXX
Started by Blondey McCoy in the mid 2010s, Thames actually relaunched in 2019 under a new name, Thames MMXX. What excites me about this brand is its approach to fashion, which focuses on a preppy style that combines British skate culture into one cohesive aesthetic. I also just really vibe with Blondey’s work which extends to art, writing, jewelry, shoe collaborations, and a bunch of things in between.
I felt like last year Thames really took off, and we finally got to see a lot of the ideas come to life in a form of luxurious garments. Looking at the brand in comparison to what’s going on across fashion right now, and I think it feels different and exciting — the clothing live in their own world, yet are still relatable to different scenes we experience in day to day life, and to me that’s what fashion is all about.

ROA
This Italian shoe brand, founded in 2015, has quickly become one of my favorites — One of my daily drivers, which I’ve had a blast wearing so far, is the all-black Cingino’s model, and I’m not looking to change them up anytime soon. Their footwear selection is vast and their styles remain unique to their brand, which is always a plus considering how things get influenced and slowly turn into one. ROA has also recently expanded into clothing by taking their own approach on everyday classic garments with a more technical focus — been really exciting to watch them expand into this space, and I’ll definitely be keeping a close eye on future collections.
Now, while I do enjoy their products a lot, what I’d love to see is an adjustment to their overall pricing — luckily those sales periods make their garments much more attainable, but I don’t want to wait around in hopes of scoring a deal. I totally understand the cost behind premium goods, and I’m not saying that these products should cost $100… but it would be great to see a slight adjustment to the retail prices that would make it a bit more accessible, but maybe that’s already in the works so we’ll have to see!

Goodfight
Founded in 2017, Goodfight is giving their take on menswear by fusing new ideas with great execution — personally, it’s the pants that really do it for me, but with services like private tailoring or collaborations with brands like Vans, there’s no shortage of ideas to enjoy. They’ve also styled film directors like Lee Isaac Chung and Daniel Kwan, which I thought was a pretty cool opportunity for them to show off their design skills on the big stage.
I’m really excited to keep a closer eye on this one, especially after their last collaboration with Vans, things are looking good for them. If you’re from LA, Goodfight has an appointment only location which is perfect for those who are looking for a new custom suit for that special event.
You can check out Goodfight on Instagram here, or you can shop their collection, book an appointment and more directly on their website here.
Do you have any brands you’re watching yourself? Maybe a personal favorite from 2023 that you’d want to see new things from in the new year? I’d love to hear about it.
Our Legacy is easily the best brand in the world to me right now by a decent margin, it's one of the only brands that actually has something for everyone without compromising their brand identity, like my dad who could care less about fashion or clothes has been rocking the same 2 pairs of washed black Third Cuts for a few years now and looks great. Always watching out for Supreme as I love their outerwear and Fadepants (good shout on them) as Tevin makes some of the best fitting joints out there for what I'm after. Uniqlo U also has 3-5 pieces a year for me that are absolute money too
Thames is elite. Thanks for the share ✨🚀
