A Good Knit Is An Investment
Shifting into layering season by checking out my favorite knits you can acquire right now.
Today’s newsletter might be sad for some because we are officially saying goodbye to summer and hello to the layering season!! Okay, the truth is I was really hyped on this recent drop from Patagonia for their 50th anniversary, which we will talk about later today, that spiked my interest to start thinking about layers — I’d always start my fall/winter wardrobe shift way too late in the season, but I’ve been getting better at starting the research early and it has helped me immensely.
Good knits are an investment. Ideally, you’re looking for something that will last you a long time, will still hold its shape after years of wear, and most importantly, makes you look great when you’re wearing it. Because of this, get ready to spend some money because good knits are not cheap… You don’t have to break your bank, but expect to fork up around $200 at least — remember, always buy quality, so you can buy less!
In today’s newsletter, we’ll be shifting our mindset into comfort mode by checking out my favorite knits to purchase right now. We have the finest craftsmanship from Scotland, women’s styles that are worth checking out, knits that I wish I had money for, additional styles that are perfect for my corporate-pilled boys out there, and some stuff in between as usual!
HOWLIN’ KNITWEAR
We can’t have a conversation about knits without talking about Howlin’. Based out of Belgium, Howlin’ has something for everyone when it comes to cozy knitwear… Afterall the brand’s entire speciality is providing its customer base with high-quality knitwear. — The women’s collection is also vast and is definitely worth checking out. A few of you have been hitting me up for some womenswear recommendations so tell your girlfriends!
Scotland is the home to some of the finest wool you’ll ever experience, and Howlin’ leans into that by sourcing a bunch of their yarn directly from Scotland. Howlin’ offers a bunch of styles from simple sweaters in a range of colors, to loud patterned vests for that special night out. I recommend checking out their care instructions if you want to maintain that garment longevity.
Howlin’s store provides full measurements, care instructions, and any additional information you may need to ensure a smooth transaction of your purchase.

FROM EUROPE WITH LOVE
I’m a big fan of YMC’s knitted collection. Lots of fun colors, styles and the price for what you get is honestly pretty solid. YMC taps into various places within Europe to source and manufacture its pieces to ensure a high level of standards. I’d say that the pieces fit true to size, so if you’re looking for something a bit more oversized I suggest sizing up to get your ideal fit.

PATAGONIA 50th ANNIVERSARY
This particular release took me by surprise, I mean these next set of rugby’s are great, but the overwhelmingly positive response from the community came in such large numbers that it made me realize that the people are already thinking about fall, and we need to start talking about that.
